School Council
A warm welcome from the Ward Green school council! We believe that as school council members we are responsible for being role models to our peers. We are representatives of our school and as such we demonstrate pride, commitment and high expectations of ourselves and each other. We promise to look after our peers, keep our eyes and ears open and help support anyone who needs it. We will listen to ideas and bring them back to our meetings to make improvements to our school. We will help to keep our school tidy. We will remind everyone of our school rules and values and keep our school a safe place to learn and grow.
Curriculum Team
At Ward Green Primary School, we believe that children should play an active role in shaping their education. Our Curriculum Ambassadors are a team of enthusiastic pupils who champion learning, represent the views of their peers and help make our school an even better place to learn.
Learning Ambassadors work alongside staff to celebrate the fantastic learning that takes place across school and to share ideas that can enhance our curriculum and enrichment offer. Their views help influence learning experiences, educational visits, visitors and special events, ensuring that pupil voice remains at the heart of school improvement.
Times Table Ambassadors
At Ward Green Primary School, we know that rapid recall of multiplication facts is an essential building block for success in mathematics. Our Times Table Ambassadors are passionate mathematicians who encourage their peers to develop confidence and fluency with times tables.
They help raise the profile of mathematics throughout the school and inspire others to enjoy practising their number skills.
Handwriting Helpers
At Ward Green Primary School, we believe that neat, fluent handwriting helps children take pride in their work and communicate their ideas effectively. Our Handwriting Helpers are a team of pupils who promote high standards of presentation and encourage others to develop confidence in their handwriting.
Handwriting Helpers act as role models across the school, demonstrating excellent handwriting and supporting younger children as they develop their skills.
Newspaper Team
The Newspaper Team plays an important role in celebrating and sharing the wonderful achievements, events and experiences that take place across our school community.
Our young reporters work together to gather information, conduct interviews, write articles and create content that keeps everyone informed about life at Ward Green Primary School.
Sports Leaders
At Ward Green Primary School, we are committed to promoting healthy, active lifestyles for all children. Our Sports Leaders play a vital role in encouraging participation, teamwork and enjoyment through sport and physical activity.
Sports Leaders support the organisation of games, activities and sporting events whilst acting as positive role models for younger pupils.
